Day 1: New York City, New York - Tour Begins
“Start spreading the news,” because today you arrive in America’s most exciting metropolis for a getaway filled with shopping, sightseeing, endless entertainment, and a single hotel stay at the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel. World-renowned for over a century, this Art Deco landmark in Manhattan’s midtown is the embodiment of sophisticated elegance and is one of the first “grand hotels” to epitomize the luxury hotel experience.
A local guide leads you on a fascinating tour of the “Big Apple.” You’ll see Greenwich Village, the Wall Street district, Chinatown, the Empire State Building, United Nations, the Chrysler Building, and other time-honored landmarks. A memorable visit to Ground Zero is sure to be a moving moment. Your tour ends in Little Italy, where you will enjoy lunch at one of the area’s most famed restaurants. Return uptown for an insider's tour of NBC Universal Studios. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore “the city that never sleeps” at your own pace. Maybe you’d enjoy a spree at some of the world’s most famous department stores, including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Today lunch will be included.
This morning embark on a voyage to Ellis Island where you’ll see the Statue of Liberty up close! More than 12 million people passed through Ellis Island on journeys of immigration. Since 1886, “Lady Liberty” has welcomed immigrants and visitors to New York Harbor. Created as a token of friendship between the U.S. and France, the Statue of Liberty has become a global symbol of freedom. Then, venture to dinner before heading to exhilarating Times Square to take your seat for a Broadway show!
Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Today, visit the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art and explore its thought-provoking exhibits and vital collections. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a delicious farewell dinner at a local restaurant, before the curtains rise for your second remarkable Broadway show!
Today dinner will be included.
Your tour ends with many pleasant memories of your exciting tour of fabulous “New York, New York.”
